00 — A note from the founder

The founder’s voice, in print

One desk. One voice. A date, by hand.

01 — Four small chapters

Who. Why curated. The three rituals. In that order.

What the concierge believes — and the rituals it keeps repeating so the night reads as one continuous sentence, written hand-to-hand.

Who

One desk. One voice. Built by a concierge, not a platform.

Marquee Noir began at a small desk in Brooklyn — the concierge writing the city down by hand, one reservation at a time, for a handful of members who wanted the night they couldn’t book themselves.

The brand stays small on purpose. One voice on the email, one mind on the scripting, one desk behind every cycle. Marketing never reaches the member inbox; the desk writes under its own name.

There is no growth team, no funnel team, no onboarding team. The concierge is the product — and the desk is the only person who decides what a date looks like.

Why curated beats mass-market

A hard-to-get room. A stranger-sized second stop. The cab home.

Mass-market inventory hands the buyer a list. Curated hands them a night — and the difference shows up in the cards it takes to land it: a reservation most platforms don’t see, a second stop two streets later tuned to who the recipient is, a cab pre-staged outside.

There is no SKU for any of that. The concierge writes it the way a host writes a party — to the two people in the room, not to the average of the last hundred.

The platform can’t sell that. The desk can. That’s why Marquee Noir stays at desk scale.

The sealed envelope & the digital reveal

A wax stamp. A room number, behind a tap.

Members ship a sealed envelope — hand-stamped, written to the recipient by name — and the desk reads the rest of the brief in private. The envelope is not a marketing piece; it is a letter, held until the date.

On the day, the recipient opens a short cinematic poster on their phone. A countdown ticks until 6pm. At six, a single tap reveals the venue — the room number, the second stop, the cab — and the night begins.

It is a brief in transit. A secret that stays sealed until the desk decides it’s time. The reveal isn’t content; it is choreography.

The executed night

Composed end to end. The receipt is one line.

The hard-to-get reservation lands under their name, the second activity walks them two streets later, and the cab home is pre-staged outside so the night never has to think about itself.

Three reservations moved by the desk, three vendor calendars stitched together by hand, and one quiet receipt that says exactly what the night cost. Margin is not in the line.

The product isn’t a list. The product is the night you didn’t have to plan — and the receipt is the proof the desk thought of everything.

02 — Signature

“The concierge isn’t a product feature. It is the desk that writes the night; and the desk only writes one date at a time.”

A quiet acknowledgement

Letters to the desk arrive at marquee-noir@polsia.app. The concierge reads every note on its own pace.
